“కుహూ, కుహూ”, అంటూ ఓ నల్లటి పక్షి బయట పడింది చింత చెట్టులోంచీ!
"అరెరే, అనవసరంగా కోకిలని కొట్టానే" అనుకుంటూ దగ్గరికి వెళ్ళి చూస్తే ఆ సన్నటి పక్షి ఉండాల్సినదానికన్నా పొడుగ్గా ఉంది.
అనుమానం వచ్చి చెయ్యి వేసి చూశాదు, అది కప్పుకున తోలు మొత్తం చేతిలోకి వచ్చేసింది.
"వార్నీ! ఇది కోకిలరూపంలో ఉన్న ఎఱ్ఱటి గుంటనక్క రోయ్" అనుకుని మరొక రెందు తగిల్చాడు.
"ఆపరా బాబోయ్!" బ్రతిమాలుకుంది గుంటనక్క.
"నీకిదేం పోయేకాలం?" గద్దించాడు
"వీళ్ళేం మాట్లాడుకుంటున్నారో దొంగచాటుగా విని ఆ మాటల్ని వేరేలా ప్రచారం చెయ్యమని మా గుంపు ఆన" అని అసలు రహస్యం చెప్పింది గుంటనక్క
"వివరాలు మొత్తం చెప్పు.. లేకపోతే ..."
"ఒద్దొద్దు, చెప్తాను. ఇలా ముసుగేసుకోవటం,కోకిలలా నటించటం, మా తరతరాల ఆచారం. మా ఊరి పేరు దొంగలతా..." చెప్పసాగింది ఆ ఎఱ్ఱ గుంటనక్క ..

If it were metaphorical, then how come only a few nouns in he text had quotes? Going by the same logic, Head Kaaki should also have quotes.
